Geriatric Pet Boarding
We’ve got you covered! We offer overnight stays at our home to help elderly pups feel comfortable while their owners are away. (At this time, we can only accommodate pups under 45 lbs)
Our home features numerous rugs in areas with hardwood or tile floors, providing extra grip for pups. We have a large, carpeted dog room that the pups will stay in should we need to leave for errands, keeping them safe from getting into household troubles. Your pup would not be alone for more than an hour or 2 at a time between my husband and I. He works from home, and my shifts at work are short. We have TVs going throughout the house for constant background noise to ensure pups never feel alone.
While pups are here, they have access to a large fenced-in backyard, freshwater 24/7, food & medications given to your specifications, and lots of one-on-one love. If they are still fairly mobile, we also have a large man-made pond with no gators or snappers that we can walk them down to and enjoy.
We do have younger dogs in our household, but they will -not- interact with your pup. We do have 1 elderly pup that we can certainly have around for company for your pet! There are also some kitties in the house, which your pups will be able to hang out with as long as they are cat-friendly. If your pup is not cat-friendly, please let us know as we will need to make a note that the pup will have to stay in the Dog Only areas of the house.
